Amy & Gareth, 16/07 – Wadhurst Castle, East Sussex Wedding Photography
Amy & Gareth, who live in Melbourne, Australia chose the delightful Wadhurst Castle as the venue for their wedding. It was a very intimate and lovely day. All guests, Amy & Gareth were very relaxed during the day and therefore an enjoyable day was experienced by all concerned.
The weather could have been kinder, very windy and no blue sky with puffy white clouds!

Not a bad castle is it...can you get a bad castle?

Outdoor weddings are usually much trickier than you would think as normally a roof is involved, not today

Mum and Dad trying to get a better view

My favourite of the day

Definitely NOT Setup

My sort-of assistant for the day

The groom's nephew avoided most group shots so I went and snapped him when he wasn't expecting it!

Gareth just loved picking up Amy, must be a Kiwi thing

Ideal canvas material of your wedding, subtle

Jane & Tetteh, 03/07 – One Whitehall Place, London Wedding Photography
It is always a nice challenge when we cover central london, not only transport, but outside space usually at a premium but also the desire to get photos of the Bride & Groom near some famous landmarks. The room used at One Whitehall Place was quite spectacular, the ceremony was nicely lit, the wedding breakfast via candlelight means that black and white images were a plenty
Tetteh and Jane were just great all day, they looked after me, were relaxed, easy going and game for becoming centre of attention along Hungerford Bridge! The challenge was to get some shots without anyone in the background, with a bit of slight cropping and some good fortune we managed to do that which was very pleasing!
First dance was great as well, the lighting was all setup great and Jane & Tetteh kept dancing for a long time, this combined with some Northern Irish ladies and gents who were their to enjoy themselves!!

What a fantastic room!!

The magician had a great trick where the card came out from the pack!!

It was great to see Naa & Rick again after I covered their wedding back in 2007

Where have all the people gone

Quite a staircase as well...

From above...

Apparently this could be worth some money, anyone for a hi-res version?!

Ellie & Andrew, 01/07 – Ockenden Manor Hotel, Cuckfield, West Sussex Wedding Photography
The great weather continued for Ellie & Andrew and the new room at Ockenden Manor with doors open to the garden made the scene for the ceremony fantastic. It was a nice relaxed wedding with guest milling around in Ockenden’s fantastic gardens.

Bridget & Daniel, 05/06 – Selborne Village Hall, Hampshire Wedding Photography
Another great day of weather for Bridget and Daniel. Two great families got together and you could tell there was a lot of love in the room for Bridget and Daniel!
A delightful church set in most peaceful location if a little tricky to find! Selborne is a lovely village, and the village hall although a little cramped had a great atmosphere about it.
I must tell you about the miserable sods in the pub though. During the wedding breakfast I went to the local village pub, bought a pint and backed up the photos. Midway through I needed a little battery charging so plugged in my laptop, a little cheeky or ok considering I had bought a drink?! Anyway the second I finished my pint my power was switched off and I was told that I was being cheeky! I couldn’t believe it, I mean charging a laptop battery would have cost about 5p worth of power, considering my Fosters was £3.50 I think they had enough margin to cover my electricity usage
Luckily I had finished backing up so upped and left and will probably not be moving to Selborne…

Shoes getting a tan...

The getting ready location had quite a spectacular view!

The South African boys!

It was great to see the bridesmaids in different dresses!

Most of the day Bridget and Daniel seemed could not stop laughing and smiling

I love this one, dad picking up the sign to the church on the way back to Selborne

WOW

Claire & Andrew, 30/05 – Ockenden Manor, Cuckfield, West Sussex Wedding Photography
Ockenden Manor Hotel has undergone some building works that have transformed the venue. Rather than a conservatory on the back of the building it is now a light and airy extension with glass roof. It becomes a much larger room for both ceremonies and also the wedding breakfast.
Claire and Andrew seemed to enjoy the new room, and from my point of view as a photographer I (Angela) enjoyed the light during the ceremony. The weather compared from the day before was fantastic. Blue sky, sunshine and puffy white clouds at Ockenden!
Claire & Andrew – 30th May 2010, Ockenden Manor Hotel.

Claire is very photogenic!

Bags of light at Ockenden

Great sky

An interesting shot, I tried some variety. Not sure if it works or not?!

Yum!

Who has the guts to take the giant cup cake for desert
Tamsyn & Gavin, 29/05 – Arundel Town Hall, West Sussex Wedding Photography
A great venue in Arundel Town Hall meant that the wet weather had little impact on the day. It is a great room for both ceremony and post ceremony drinks!
It was also great to see Sarah and Olly plus many guests that I saw at the wedding I was a guest at the previous week at Ham Manor Golf Club.
Tamsyn & Gavin, Arundel Town Hall – 29th May 2010

A spectacular room...

Gavin all ready for action

Perfect for a caption competition

The rolling pin, what a great family tradition!

The proof it was raining

In black and white this could be 30 years ago with the Southdown Vintage Bus, so why is it in colour?!

Sarah & Mark, 29/05 – Ockenden Manor, West Sussex Wedding Photography
We had a touch of rain but it bothered n0-one! Sarah & Mark didn’t seem at all bothered by the rain which from my point of view is very important. I had happy people to shoot whatever the weather!
One handed shooting with an umbrella in the other, keeps myself and the equipment dry but on Sunday my arm was in bits
Sarah & Mark, 29th May 2010 – Ockended Manor Hotel, Cuckfield

The fizz is opened!

Happy Birthday to you....

The rain is coming down...

Cute

The vicar was probably the funniest I have ever seen. A few classic wedding gags that I have heard during Best Man speeches but they were funny when told by a vicar, must be the surprise element!

One of my favourites from the day, there is something about Mark's look!

aye aye captain

The dancing was most unexpected, Sarah was good but Mark was a star

Gail & Jason, 28/05 – Pangdean Barn, Brighton, East Sussex Wedding Photography
Weather was great, nice blue sky, sunshine and a nice cooling breeze, many would say PERFECT!
Gail I have known for a number of years through commercial photography projects at Schering and covering Sarah & Paul’s wedding three years ago. It was good to see them with their three week old baby!
Gail & Jason – Pyecombe Church & Pangdean, 28th May 2010

Gail didn't stop smiling most of the day

Light from the front door created a moody portrait

Hold onto your hats folks!

What have Jason and his Best Man just said?!

We had to go the other way but the lane had a certain quality about it...

The garden at Pangdean is huge!

See!

Victoria & Ben, 22/05 – Crowcombe Court, Somerset Wedding Photography
The forecast was great, and they did not get it wrong….very warm but we dare not complain. It was a great day, Crowcombe Court was looking delightful as normal and Victoria & Ben seemed to be enjoying every minute! It was a shame I did not get to see the band as the star cloth and setup in the marquee looked amazing.

Instructions from the Bridesmaids

Have you ever seen a more relaxed Groom, or had Ben been rehearsing?

Great hats...

And another

Where's the car?

Somerset sandstone, blue skies, vintage car....bring it on

Crowcombe is great

Job offered, and dad's phone number taken for a copy of any crackers!

It makes the most amazing backdrop
Emma & Martin, 15/05 – Weald of Kent Golf Club, Aylesford, Kent Wedding Photography
Serena & Damian, 10/04 – West Sussex Wedding Photography, Tudor Close, Ferring
The fantastic April weather started a few days before Serena & Damian’s big day and it was hard to believe that it would last to the Saturday! It did and the day was a great success, brass band outside in April, sunshine and blue skies what more can be asked for a West Sussex Wedding!
10th April 2010, Tudor Close, Ferring

How exciting hats are back!

5 days before it felt about minus 2!

P r o u d !

Happy faces the important part is all done

The brass band plays...

The sign just about confirms my first thoughts

Rachel & Aiden, 19/02 – West London Wedding Photography, Marble Hill House
Marble Hill House & Brula Restaurant
19th February 2010
A little chilly but it was dry enough and manageable for everyone to walk through the park from Marble Hill to Brula so the day ran smoothly. A bit of blue sky can be seen and Marble Hill House made for a lovely backdrop!

Boo

The boys looking very smart!

Debbie & Olly, 06/02 – Arundel Town Hall, West Sussex Wedding Photography
Arundel Town Hall & The White Swan, Arundel.
February 6th 2010
Considering the previous 3 months of weather it was hard to imagine guests would be able to stand without shivering or getting wet on the fantastic roof terrace at Arundel Town Hall. It was ‘mild’ if I say so myself! Deep blue sky and some tricky low sun gave us some interesting lighting and final results which I hope Debbie & Olly will be happy with. Huge pressure what with the number of potential grooms that visit Olly’s business each week

Debbie was very relaxed!

Something interesting about this shot...

Where is Olly when you need him

'The boys'

The socks get visible

Blimin hayfever in February!

Such a fine room to get married in

Bubbles!

Only another 28 to go...

No I have not doctored the sky, it really was this blue!

Picture postcard time

Is it a shame about the grotty no entry sign, or does it add something?

A classic 'motor'

Catherine & Giancarlo, 02/01 – RAC Club, Surrey Wedding Photography
2nd January 2010
In between snow downpours Catherine & Giancarlo were lucky with the weather. A little chilly but dry which you cannot ask for more from a winter wedding. Even some lovely low winter sun before it went it! It was a great fun day and good to catch up Alice & Neel.

The let by sign is a bit of a shame...:)

A proud dad!

Is that a tear or two?!

Cute

It could be July.

The RAC Club was a fantastic venue.

They were actually looking at people arrive - not the photographer asking for the catalogue pose!

This time Catherine proud of her dad...

Kerri & Nick, 20/12 – East Sussex Wedding Photography, Buxted Park Hotel
20th December 2009
The snow was still at Buxted, our second visit in 3 days so we need which Wellies to bring, where the snow was not too deep, etc.
The sun was out and sky blue, what more could we want….heated, waterproof shoes would have been nice
A great wedding and it was great for us to see two of our past wedding clients at the wedding, one of which was a very memorable wedding on Brighton Pier!!
Hannah & Charles, 19/12 – West Sussex Wedding Photography, Handcross Park School
19th December 2009, 3.30pm
A crisp clear day in December! 36 hours after the main snow came down the streets around the church in Cuckfield and the path leading to the church door were like an icerink! All guests made it safely and most important Hannah the bride made it with ease (and the use of some wellies
)
A late start time of 3.30pm means from a photography point of view it is tricky but we were pleased with the results hope you think the same!
Becci & Christian, 18/12 – East Sussex Wedding Photography, Buxted Park
18th December 2009
Well what a day, 7 years we have waited for a snowy wedding with blue sky. We did a wedding last february when it snowed but the day it snows it is grey and dark, this was 8 inches of snow with blue sky and sunshine. Still blimin cold but a breathtaking view from all angles at Buxted Park. Becci was very brave in the cold weather!
Shelley & James, 12/12 – Farbridge Wedding Photography, West Sussex
Shelley & James, 12th December 2009
It was a crisp day, but considering the 2.30pm time of the ceremony it was great weather and we managed to make the most of the daylight and even had some soft warming sun on Shelley & James. A very relaxed affair it was a real pleasure to cover the day!
Rhiannon & Matthew, 24/10 – Salford Hall Hotel, Evesham Wedding Photography
Salford Hall Hotel, Evesham, Gloucestershire
24th October 2009 – Rhiannon & Matthew
The weather forecast was spot on for once. Luckily the rain blew ‘up north’ and Rhiannon & Matthew were lucky to get sunshine and blue skies at a fantastic venue.
